Who we usually see
Built around the way the City actually works.
Desk-based tension
Long hours at a screen tend to show up as neck, shoulder and upper-back tightness, often with headaches attached. Treatment usually works across the neck, upper back and chest rather than the sore spot alone.
Training around work
Early gym sessions, lunchtime runs and weekend races all load the same tissues that sitting has already shortened. Sports massage is used to support recovery and keep training comfortable.
Persistent lower-back ache
Commuting, long meetings and travel are a common backdrop to lower-back discomfort. Treatment addresses the back, hips and breathing mechanics, alongside advice on movement between sessions.
Common questions
Booking a massage in the City of London.
Can I get a massage before work in the City?
Yes. Weekday appointments start at 8.00am and the last weekday slot begins at 20.30, so treatments can be booked before work, over a long lunch or after the office. Weekend appointments run from 10.00am to 18.00.
How long should a lunchtime massage be?
Thirty minutes suits a single area such as the neck and shoulders and fits comfortably inside an hour away from the desk. Sixty minutes is the more common choice where more than one region needs attention.
Do I need to shower afterwards?
Not usually. Oil is applied sparingly and removed at the end of the session, so most clients return to work directly. If you would prefer to shower, Light Centre Monument has facilities on site.
Can I claim the cost through health insurance?
Often, yes. Many cash plans cover remedial and sports massage where the therapist is registered with a recognised governing body. Both therapists here are registered with the FHT or MTI. Check the terms of your own policy first.
What is the nearest station?
Monument, roughly two minutes on foot. Bank, Cannon Street and Fenchurch Street are all within about six to seven minutes, and Liverpool Street is about twelve.
